Clients may contact Bravura Security support for assistance with this connector. Troubleshooting and testing must be completed in the client's test environment as Bravura Security does not maintain internal test environments for the associated target system.

The following Bravura Security Fabric operations are supported by this connector:

  • update attributes

  • List:

    • accounts

    • attributes

Preparation

Before targeting your SAP Human Capital Management system from Bravura Security Fabric you must:

  1. Install SAP Human Capital Management client software.

  2. Set up a target system administrator.

Installing client software

Before you begin, you must install the SAP GUI client software on the Bravura Security Fabric server. Alternatively, if targeting the database using a Bravura Security Fabric proxy server, the client software must be installed on the proxy server.

Note

It is important that the SAP GUI version corresponds to your newest SAP system.

Configuring a target system administrator

Bravura Security Fabric uses a designated administrator account (for example PSADMIN) on the SAP Human Capital Management system to list user accounts and its attributes, as well as update account attributes.

The administrator account requires permission to perform the following actions:

  • Enumerate records in PA0001, PA0002, PA0006 and PA0105

  • Permissions to run BAPI_EMPLCOMM_GETLIST and BAPI_EMPLCOMM_GETDETAIL

  • Permissions to run BAPI_PERSDATA_GETLIST and BAPI_PERSDATA_GETDETAIL

  • Permissions to run BAPI_ADDRESSEMP_GETLIST and BAPI_ADDRESSEMP_GETDETAIL

  • Update records in PA0002, PA0006 and PA0105

    Records in the PA0001 table cannot be updated.

Create an account with appropriate permissions if one does not already exist.

Netweaver 7.5+ support

The SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) (Netweaver 7.5+) connector type supports NetWeaver 7.5+ SDK.

This section details how to configure the agtsaphrnw connector to communicate to an SAP instance. This is generally done through an SAP Message Service.

Targeting SAP Human Capital Management

For each SAP Human Capital Management system, add a target system in Bravura Security Fabric (Manage the system > Resources > Target systems):

  • Type:

    • SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) .

      or

    • SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) (Netweaver 7.5+).

  • Address uses options described in the table below.

The full list of target system parameters is explained in Target System Options .

The address has following syntax:

<hostname>/system=<systemNo>/client=<clientNo>[/keephistory=true]
