Bravura Security provides playbooks to guide you through a systematic and safe in-place upgrade.
These playbooks serve as:
Starting templates to modify with your organization's specific needs
Checklists to prevent forgetting steps or running them out of order
Records of decisions made both before and during patch
Records of patch details, such as time taken on specific steps and outcomes
Use a playbook in conjunction with this site. They do not replace the content on this site.

Follow the detailed steps in Upgrading an instance. Review the playbooks below carefully and make additions and changes as needed.
For upgrades where:
The current version is in the 12.x line, but pre-12.2, test upgrades in UAT. Bravura Security recommends following one of the playbooks listed below as closely as possible and making any necessary additions and changes as they are identified through testing.
The current version is pre-12.x, you will likely need to write your own playbook.

Determine what upgrade strategy to use.
QueueFlush
This playbook is recommended. Queue flush will gracefully shut down the required services, initiate database commit suspend, and flush all data in replication queues prior to proceeding with upgrade.

Rolling upgrade
Select this method to keep business disruptions to a minimum, as rolling upgrades allow nodes to be upgraded in sequence while maintaining availability of some nodes in production.

This playbook is recommended to troubleshoot issues encountered during upgrading Bravura Security Fabric from an older version to new version.
