Bravura Security Fabric lists computer objects (virtual machines) as accounts, as well as Snapshots and templates on Citrix Xen Server using the agtxen connector.

The agtxen connector is known to work with version 7.x of Citrix Xen Server; other versions may work.

This connector has been tested and is fully supported by Bravura Security.

The following Bravura Security Fabric operations are supported by this connector (depending on your product license and version):

  • update attributes

  • List:

    • accounts

    • attributes

The connector lists VMs as accounts and VM’s attributes as account’s attributes.

Setting up a target system administrator

Bravura Security Fabric uses a designated account on Citrix Xen Server to perform Bravura Security Fabric operations. Create an account with appropriate permissions if one does not already exist.

Targeting Citrix Xen Server system

For each Citrix Xen Server system, add a target system in Bravura Security Fabric (Manage the System > Resources > Target systems).

  • Type is Citrix Xen Server.

  • Address uses options described in the table below.

The Citrix Xen Server target system address syntax is as follows:

Handling attributes

You can view the complete list of attributes that Bravura Security Fabric can manage, including native and pseudo-attributes, using the Manage the system (PSA) module. To do this, select Citrix Xen Server from the Manage the system > Resources > Account attributes > Target system type menu.
