Provisioning resources

A resource is the basic building block during any Bravura Identity provisioning operation. The main resources used in provisioning operations include:

  • Template accounts

  • Roles

  • Managed groups

Each Bravura Identity resource type can have different roles for different provisioning requests. For example, in order to create a new user, the requester must select at least one Bravura Identity template. For any selected template, certain profile and request attributes can be required.

Resources can be selected manually from different Bravura Identity modules. For example, if requesters use the View and update profile (IDR) module to submit a new user request, they follow these steps:

  1. Enter or select profile and request attributes.

  2. Select roles or templates for the request.

  3. For the matching role or template, optionally select an Bravura Identity managed group.

In cases where many resources are available for selection, Bravura Identity displays a search form which can make the selection process easier.
