Preparation
Before you can target a McAfee Vulnerability Manager, you must:
Install client software
Configure a target system administrator
Installing client software
Bravura Security Fabric communicates with the SQL Server via the TDS protocol. Before you can target the SQL Server, you must install and configure the SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3, or 2008, client software (connectivity only) on the Bravura Security Fabric server.
Consult the documentation included with your SQL Server client software for more information.
Configure a target system administrator
Bravura Security Fabric uses a designated account on the SQL Server that is backing the McAfee Vulnerability Manager to list the computer servers. Create an account on the SQL Server that can view the tables on the database that is backing the McAfee Vulnerability Manager if one does not already exist.
Targeting a McAfee Vulnerability Manager
For each McAfee Vulnerability Manager, add a target system in Bravura Security Fabric (Manage the System > Resources > Target systems).
Type is McAfee Vulnerability Manager .
Address uses the following options:
Server The SQL Server that the McAfee Vulnerability Manager backs onto.
(key: server)
