Custom fields

Using custom fields, you can add (and auto-fill) more data fields for a safe item:

  • Text: text, numbers, and more

  • Hidden: hidden input

  • Boolean: true/false

  • Linked: linked to the item's username or password (can be used to solve browser extension auto-fill issues).

Add custom fields from any Bravura Safe client using the CUSTOM FIELDS section on the Edit item page.

It is important to get the custom field Name right for auto-fill to work.

Tip

With the Bravura Safe browser extension logged in, right-click on the form element and select Copy custom field name option from the context menu to get the correct field name. This will copy the form element's id, name, aria-label or placeholder value (in that order of preference) to your clipboard.

You can also get the field name using your web browser's developer tools: Right-click on the webpage field you want to auto-fill and select Inspect. Copy the element id (find " id= ") to the Name field of the custom field. Enter the information to be auto-filled in the Value field and Save.

Once saved, you can auto-fill a custom field from the browser extension.
