Change your master password
If you know your current master password, you can change it as follows:
Log in to Bravura Safe via the web interface.
Click the profile menu (your initials/avatar) and select Account settings.
Select Security from the ACCOUNT SETTINGS menu.
The Master password tab is displayed.
Review the password policy requirements displayed above the input fields.
Enter your Current master password.
Enter and confirm your New master password.
Bravura Safe will assess the strength of your master password as you enter it; indicating Weak, Good, Strong, etc. Use a strong and memorable but complex master password using letters (upper/lower case), numbers and special characters.
Warning
Do not select the Also rotate my account's encryption key box unless you fully understand the ramifications and required follow-up actions. See Account encryption key for more information.
Click Change master password.
Note
Bravura Safe checks your master password against any known breaches. If an exposed password is detected, the following pop-up appears after clicking Change master password:
Click No to return to the Change master password page and enter a stronger master password.
Changing your master password automatically logs you out of the web interface session. Other logged-in Bravura Safe apps may remain active for up to an hour, but will eventually require you to log back in with your new master password.
