Synchronizing a new node with an existing set of Bravura Security Fabric replicas
You may need to add a new replica to an already-running set of replicated Bravura Security Fabric servers; for example, if a node failed because of a disk crash, and a new server had to be built to replace it.
To add a new node to an existing replication environment includes:
Prepare the node by installing the operating system, database and Bravura Security Fabric software on a new server.
For nodes with a Microsoft SQL Server database, see Creating a dedicated database, user, and schema to learn how to create the appropriate database instance and user.
See Installing Bravura Security Fabric using
idmsetup.inf
to learn how to install Bravura Security Fabric usingidmsetup.inf
file to ensure that settings are identical.Synchronize files and registry settings from the primary server.
You can do this by navigating to Manage the system > Maintenance > File synchronization , or running
updinst
from the command line.See Configuring file synchronization for details.
