Preparation

Before you begin:

  1. Ensure that you have the URL to the HP Service Manager Web Service.

  2. Configure a target system administrator for targeting HP Service Manager Web Service.

Configuring a target system administrator

Bravura Security Fabric uses a designated account on HP Service Manager to manage accounts.

The target system administrator must be a member of the SysAdmin group on HP Service Manager.

Ensure that you set and note the account’s password. You will be required to enter the login ID and password when you add the target system to Bravura Security Fabric .

Targeting HP Service Manager Web Service

For each HP Service Manager Web Service server, add a target system in Bravura Security Fabric (Manage the System > Resources > Target systems).

  • Type is HP Service Manager, Web Service .

  • Address is the name of the script in the <Program Files path>\Bravura Security\Bravura Security Fabric\<instance>\ script\ directory that is configured to connect to the HP Service Manager Web Service. See Writing the configuration script .

  • Administrator ID and Password identifies the target system administrator you configured earlier.

Writing the configuration script

When the Bravura Security Fabric agent interacts with HP Service Manager Web Service, the URL for the web service is set in the script indicated in the target address line.

A sample configuration script (agthpsm-ws.cfg) is shipped in the samples directory. If you cannot find the sample file, try re-running setup to modify your installation. Sample files are automatically installed with complete (typical) installations. You can select them in custom installations.

The configuration includes the following keys:

  • serverUrl The URL for the HP Service Manager Web Service

  • serverType The type of SOAP web service that is used to construct soap messages

  • query The query parameters used to filter or select the objects

Troubleshooting

If you experience any errors targeting HP Service Manager Web Service, verify that:

  • The target system administrator account can sign on using the HP Service Manager client on the Bravura Security Fabric server.

  • You can reset user passwords with the HP Service Manager client from the Bravura Security Fabric server logged in with the administrator ID and password you created.
