Identification and authentication

The following sections describe how users log into Bravura Security Fabric , and how you can configure Bravura Security Fabric to identify and authenticate users.

The login sequence in Bravura Security Fabric is by default broken down in two parts:

  1. Identification: who is trying to login

This must be an identifier unique across the entire set of profiles.

The Identification list can be empty if users should identify directly against Bravura Security Fabric profiles rather than against a specific target or list of targets.

  2. Authentication: do they know or have what they need to login

This can use several factors, and the factors required can be different depending on many criteria, like login network location, user category, and so on.
