Release highlights 12.7
Upgrading to Bravura Security Fabric version 12.7 offers a multitude of benefits that enhance both security and operational efficiency. The release introduces an enhanced connector proxy that ensures real-time identity updates, providing continuous synchronization and reducing the operational load on client applications. This feature allows for faster detection and management of changes, significantly reducing latency and eliminating the need for periodic batch processing, which in turn offers instant support for account issues. It supports real-time compliance discovery and enforcement, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to industry-leading standards.
The REST API capabilities have been extended for Bravura Pass, Privilege, and Identity, providing direct API access for target system configuration and credential management. This supports a wide range of applications, from Active Directory to modern cloud-based solutions, and ensures continued adherence to fine-grained access control approaches. The API also allows for granular control of identity and access management with custom compliance rules, offering real-time reporting and automated audit trails, which enhances operational efficiency.
Other improvements and additions to 12.7 include:
The Bravura One mobile application has also been updated to version 5.0.3, now supporting the latest devices and API versions.
Security is bolstered with the introduction of digital signing for SAML authentication requests, which provides a more adaptable and robust security framework that is less susceptible to "Man in the Middle" attacks and reduces the management overhead associated with whitelists.
New components for OneAuth and related two-factor authentication chains have been added to protect against push-notification attacks, reducing the frequency of password prompts and enabling passwordless authentication.
The Roles app is now enabled by default, facilitating delegated role management and allowing for quicker, more precise access and role-assignment adjustments, which is crucial for maintaining security integrity and organizational compliance.
