Inventory Locations and Types

Set up location and type values to help you define, search for, and manage inventory. For example, you may want to assign inventory items to users based on:

  • Physical location

  • Territory

  • Rights allowed

  • Seniority

  • Term of employment

Inventory locations and types are required for managing inventory items. Bravura Security Fabric uses location and type values to define and manage inventory. Inventory managers are responsible for inventory items based on location and type.

Adding locations

To add a location:

  1. Click Inventory > Locations.

  2. Click Add new…

  3. Type a unique ID and Description to display to users.

  4. If required, type the State/province , Country , and Area code .

  5. Click Add.

Adding item types

To add an item type:

  1. Click Inventory > Item types.

  2. Click Add new…

  3. Type a unique ID and a Description to display to users.

  4. Click Add.

Deleting locations and item types

You can delete locations and types provided that they are not used to define any inventory items, templates, roles, or groups.

From the Locations or Item types page, enable the checkbox next to the location or item type that you want to delete, then click Delete. If required confirm your actions .
