Defining source systems
Source systems are manually-defined systems from which systems are listed. These are usually domain target systems that are configured to list computer server objects and computer workstation objects on the domain.
For push mode target system and managed system import rules, you can:
Include all source systems
Include some source systems
Exclude some source systems
In the initial phase of deployment, it is recommended that you start small with a small set of machines. The Active Directory connector is capable of discovering all computers in a domain; however this may take a long time. You may want to start by targeting a specific segment of the domain; for example:
<domain>/basedn=OU=<org structure on domain>
In large deployments, it is recommended that you import systems in batches. This will allow you to adjust the import rules as necessary for each new batch of systems being added.
