Preparation

Before you can target JIRA Server, you must:

  1. Set up a target system administrator

  2. Create at least one template account

Setting up a target system administrator

Bravura Security Fabric uses a designated account on JIRA Server to perform Bravura Security Fabric operations. The account must have JIRA Administrators or JIRA System Administrators global permission. Ensure that you set and note the account’s password. You will be required to enter the account and password when you add the target system to Bravura Security Fabric .

Creating a template account

Bravura Security Fabric uses template accounts as models or "blueprints" for creating new accounts in JIRA Server. The following example illustrates how you can create a template account in JIRA Server:

  • You should be logged in to JIRA as an administrator.

  • Navigate to the User Management screen.

  • Click on Invite users button to invite users to JIRA or click on Create user button to create a new user.
