Importing users and accounts

You add users to Bravura Security Fabric by importing lists of users from one or more systems of record, referred to as target systems. The import process is part of auto discovery .

To import users into Bravura Security Fabric :

  1. Determine which target system should be used as your source of profile IDs.

    Users of this system will also become users of Bravura Security Fabric . Users’ full names and profile IDs will be drawn from this system.

    A source of profile IDs target system should contain a login ID (account) for all or most of the Bravura Security Fabric users in your organization. This system should use the most common or standardized naming convention. If necessary, you can have more than one target system that is a source of profile IDs.

  2. Add your source of profile IDs target system to Bravura Security Fabric .

    Ensure that you select the Source of profile IDs checkbox on the Target system information page.

  3. Set up ID filters to determine which users you want or don’t want imported into Bravura Security Fabric it.

    All users listed from a source of profile IDs target system are imported by default.

  4. Execute auto discovery.

    To do this, click Maintenance > Auto discovery > Execute auto discovery, then click Continue.

    This process may take a while. You can click Refresh to reload the page and check progress.

  5. Determine whether the import was successful by running a users report.

    From the main menu click Manage reports > Reports > Reports > Users > Accounts.
