Preparation
Before activating event actions, do the following:
Determine the event, on the Bravura Security Fabric server, that you want to trigger an action, the action you want to take when the event occurs, and what ticket system you want to connect to.
See System options that can trigger external programs for a list of events.
Install any necessary client software on the Bravura Security Fabric server.
If the action includes sending email, ensure that the email server and related settings have been configured.
Configure the following settings:
MAIL SERVER
(required) The name of the server that handles email.
MAIL SERVER PORT
The port number for the mail server. The default is 25 .
MAIL AUTH LOGIN
The login ID used to authenticate against an smtp server.
MAIL AUTH PASSWORD
The login ID used to authenticate against an smtp server.
RECIPIENT EMAIL
(required) The email address of the Bravura Security Fabric administrator who should receive notification of events relating to the running of the server.
SENDER EMAIL
(required) The email address that will appear as the sender of emails.
Determine the program or target type that you want to handle the event.
Available programs are located in the interface directory and start with px. Most of the programs are designed to integrate with specific support software; for example,
pxassyst
is designed to work with Axios Assyst. Programs are listed in Table 1, “Interface programs”.If you do not see the program for your support system, you may need to run the Connector Pack setup program, and ensure that the system is selected.
