Configure a dedicated database user

After setup runs pre-installation checks, the Configure a Dedicated Database User page is displayed. The options displayed in the setup wizard will differ depending on your choice.

  • If you choose to Use a preconfigured database user to install the new instance, you will enter database connection settings later in the setup process.

  • If you choose to Create a new dedicated database user for the new instance, enter the database connection and user information.

    By default, setup uses the same name as the product instance.

    When you click Next, the setup program creates the new database user.
