Setting pre-conditions
Once you have added a notification, you can set any number of pre-conditions for notifying users based on evaluating user statistics stored in the USERSTAT table or users’ membership in user classes. This may improve performance by sending notifications to a subset of users.
To define pre-conditions based on user statistics:
On the page for a notification, click the Pre-conditions tab.
Type the name of the USERSTAT tag.
Select the comparison rule to determine that the tag value Must or Must not :
be equal to
be less than
be greater than
exist
Type the value used to evaluate the tag.
Select the value type.
Click Update.
To define pre-conditions based on user classes:
On the page for a notification, click the Pre-conditions tab, then the User classes link.
Click Select... to select existing user class or click on Add new... to create new user class.
