Proxy servers

If you have a proxy server between the Bravura Security Fabric server and a target system, the Connector Pack has to be installed on both the Bravura Security Fabric server and the proxy server.

The setup of the proxy server’s Connector Pack must match the setup of the Bravura Security Fabric ’s Connector Pack ; for example, if the Bravura Security Fabric install has an instance-specific Connector Pack , the proxy server must be instance-specific as well. Or, if the Bravura Security Fabric is using the global Connector Pack , the proxy server must have the global Connector Pack .

Caution

If a server is hosting multiple proxy instances, it is recommended that you do not install the global Connector Pack . The multiple instances may use different versions of the Connector Pack . Unexpected results may occur when the proxies try to synch their connectors with the master servers.

Before installing the Connector Pack on a proxy server, make sure you have the Proxy Service installed. See Installing the Bravura Security Fabric server softwareand Managing proxy servers for more information. See the installation documentation for more information.

The Bravura Security Fabric server updates the proxy server’s connectors (if they are out of date) before communicating through the proxy server.

Note

PSLang-based connectors must have matching scripts on both the proxy server and the Bravura Security Fabric server.

PSLang-based connectors use the most current version of PSLang available. This may differ substantially from the version of PSLang used within a legacy (pre-7.0) Bravura Security Fabric instance. You may need to upgrade your PSLang scripts before they can be used with connectors from the Connector Pack
