Targeting the Symantec Endpoint Encryption system

For each Symantec Endpoint Encryption system, add a target system in Bravura Security Fabric (Manage the System > Resources > Target systems):

  • Type is Symantec Endpoint Encryption .

  • Address uses options described in the table below.

The IP address/domain name of the web server running Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.1.x+.

(optional) Select to enforce SSL connections. Default is "true".

Validate the server’s certificate when connecting

Determines whether to validate the server’s security certificate for SSL connections. Default is "true".

  • SQL Server Native Client 9 - for SQL Server 2005

  • SQL Server Native Client 10.0 - for SQL Server 2008

  • SQL Server Native Client 11.0 - for SQL Server 2012/2014

  • ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server - for SQL Server

Setting the administrator credentials

The first administrator should be the Symantec Endpoint Encryption policy administrator. The second administrator is the Symantec Endpoint Encryption database access account, which should be identified as a System password.
